| Updated September 4th Welcome to SOMS and 6th Grade Social Studies! Please explore and familiarize yourself with my website! Check out class info, notebooks, how to contact me, etc. Feel free to email me with any questions or to introduce yourself! The first day of school is Tuesday, September 7th. Students will report to the cafeteria for orientation and then will remain with their Period 1 teachers for most or all of that day. You will have the opportunity to meet some of your teachers on this day too! On Wednesday, students will be traveling to their full scheduled day of classes. In Social Studies, you will be hearing about our class, the materials you need, and the exciting activities I have planned for you this year! You will also receive a packet of three forms your parents need to read and sign. YOU need to bring it back to me at school as soon as possible! Schedule for this week: Tuesday Periods 1, 4, 7, 8 - All 6th graders have their first day! You will have 6th grade orientation, go on a tour of the school, get your locker, meet some of your teachers, etc. Wednesday Periods 1, 4, 7, 8 - 1st day of Social Studies! You will meet Miss Pew, become familiar with her room, policies, class, etc. HOMEWORK - 1. Have parents read and sign all three forms. 2. Purchase, decorate and number the pages of your notebook. They must be ready for class on Monday, September 13th! |
